As seen above. They take just 5 mins. A start up bonus. And the clearing up I’d say (which all recipe books and tv shows cut out)takes less time than that! Maybe even a minute.

These little snacks were compiled after trying to easily boost my unhungry self immediately, but to actually to have an aspect of the food that would delay the body process, and keep the energy until a smidge later too. The less needed for a longer time in the day when compared to the new age treats like chocolate bars and even many nutri-bars that you’d buy en route.

I think that the fact that you can pop them in a beeswax wrap or small container, they still fit in a small pocket or handbag, and they last a good time too.


The simply stuffed dates equate to a super healthy little sweet treat. The combination of the fats and protein from the walnut will help to slow the blood glucose hit from the date so lowering its glycaemic level.

Ingredients

  • 6 Medjool Dates
  • 6 Walnuts

Directions

  1. Heat a small frying pan on a medium heat, add the walnuts and lightly toss them for approx 1 min to warm them through and add a crunch.
  2. Slice or tear open each date, remove the seed and replace it with a walnut and lightly squash to close.
