As the sunnier days hit so does my craving for smoothies… So easy for a quick and blast of nutrients, this one is packed with indulgent berries full of antioxidants.

A treat when you want to spoil yourself with an indulgent smoothie.
Raspberries are packed with antioxidants to make that indulgence worthwhile. Bananas provide fibre and several antioxidants and nutrients.
Less ripe bananas are healthier as they contain more resistant starch and so less sugar and higher levels of pectin which benefits our gut microbiota and can improve gut transit time and nutrient absorption.
Choose a coconut milk with no added sugar and raw honey for its added nutrient value.
Why do we need fibre in our diets?
Fibre is one of the main reasons whole plant foods are good for you. Growing evidence shows that adequate fiber intake may benefit your digestion and reduce your risk of chronic disease.
Consuming adequate amounts of soluble, fermentable fiber is very important for optimal health because it optimizes the function of the friendly bacteria in the gut.

120g Raspberries (or simply swap for strawberries/mixed berries)
1 Banana
200ml Coconut milk (½ tin)
1 tsp Honey

- De skin the bananas and put them in the blender.
- Add the raspberries, milk & nectar and simply blend until smooth.
