It is great to re-enlighten your energy and warm you from the inside out. The Pineapple and Tumeric Smoothie recipe is a nutritious pick up for the colder months or a warming hug for the soul after a chilly sea swim.

Pineapple is packed with nutrients, particularly vitamin C, which is essential for a healthy immune system. They are also rich in antioxidants, flavonoids and phenolic acids, some of which are known to reduce inflammation which is said to reduce cancer risk.

Tumeric is a potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant, which is most active against cancer due to it’s most active compound, curacumin. The intake is risen by 2,000% when digested with pipeline, found in black pepper, which is a perfect duo in many dishes.

Ingredients:

Cooking Steps:

  1. Chop the pineapple into small chunks removing the skin and core. Add to the blender.
  2. Take a whole lemon, cut it in half, destine, and add the juice and pulp to the pineapple.
  3. De-skin the ginger and again chop up. Add the ginger to the blender alongside the Tumeric, black pepper, cayenne and a tsp of honey.
  4. Simply blend for approximately 1 minute. Simply add water to perfect your thickness.
