Headland Hotel spa

Beautiful update to the spa which is right by one of the most well known beaches in Newquay, England.

Headland spa, overlooking Fistral beach.

The Spa; The whole place has been beautifully rejuvenated and there is a pool with quirky features like bubbles, a hot tub spa and steam room all together. It’s small and cosy… but spacious when related to any other little Cornish Spa.

The steam room and sauna are good. Reasonable (relatively small) rather than TINY seating. Though they have ‘off and on’ buttons, they have very limited information to the goings on in the rooms; aka heat, timing, benefits…

The hot tub is between the steam and sauna rooms and is surrounded by showers which are luxurious once you figure out the temperatures that each ‘humidity titled ON buttons’ refers to.

Treatment; The treatment rooms are separated from the spa which means they are calm and quiet and perfectly private space.

The staff are lovely though some treatments are described different to reality online so the experience is unexpected, but ce la vie…

The massage was reasonable, though not the biggest memory in my life, though the post treatment relaxation room was large, calm, comfortable and quiet with your own personal space. Perfection; just in case the pool and public spa is busier than you’re up for, or has kids in it.

Relaxation Room

The spa overlooks the sea; from the nail and food main reception space.

It overlooks the sea over the car park where lots of people travel through… (very closely…) while you’re in a dressing gown… or bikini if you’re finding it sunny enough and don’t mind non privacy…
